Exams...

...which will cause me to fall off the face of the earth until farther notice. Namely, until next Thursday.

I have my one normal exam and two provincial. Oddly, the hardest one will be my normal exam. (come on, Science and Math are mostly multiply choice! French has all the vocab and verbs though ><) And also choir testing tomorrow and a sight-singing on Friday for next week, and French listen exam in class and orals.

Errr, I should actually start studying..

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

This is the book that the Miyazaki movie is based on. I've only seen the movie once, and that was during a sleepover at 1am. Needless to say, I don't remember much. But I know I like the book more than the movie. (I like the movie, of course) The book is much more detailed and I love Sophie's sense of humour. It's not that long, a nice read.

The Truth-teller's Tale by Sharon Shinn

I love this author, so I wasn't surprised to like the book. This book is supposed to be a part of a trilogy (The Safekeeper's Secret being the first, which I also read. And The Dream-maker's Magic is the third, which is still on hold for me at the library), but can stand perfectly fine on their own. I really love the world the series is set in, and the characters are very interesting. This book has more romance than the first. (though I still prefer that one) This book got a bit boring after the second time though.

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen

I think that Sarah Dessen if my new favourite author. (well, in addition to about another five) I really enjoyed this book. The characters were the best part <3. I can related to Remy. And all her characters are so well-formed and real. I would STRONLY recommend this book. (and I already have) Really, this book is not your typical chick lit. (a genre I actually quite dislike. Because lots of books in that genre seems too shallow for a meaningful story) Random book quote:

The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale

I was a tiny bit disappointed by this book. It has great character and settings, but the plot was too predictable in my opinion. I did enjoy the book and it did have a happy ending though~

The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen

Sarah Dessen always has characters that I can relate to. This book isn't all too interesting plot-wise. But the humour and the general characters are fantastic! Great read <3!

Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin

I cried quite a few times during this book. (somehow, my eyes were perfectly unaffected in the morning) It's about a girl how dies and the world the she goes to, where people grow younger instead of older. But she doesn't want to grow younger, she want to go to collage and get a job and married. And how she finally gets something of a happy ending.
